“The Heart of Marketing” Becomes Best Seller Before Book Is Ever Printed

A new book, The Heart of Marketing: Love Your Customers and They Will Love You Back, authored by husband and wife Judith Sherven, PhD and James Sniechowski, PhD, (Morgan James Publishing), achieved best seller status at Amazon.com before the book was even printed. As soon as the announcement for the book was released at Amazon, eager buyers placed their pre-publication orders rocketing the book to #12 in the Direct Marketing category.

LAS VEGAS, NV – May 14, 2009 – During this time of planet-wide catastrophic economic disruption, many business people are searching for a way not only to stabilize their businesses but to transform the way business is done.

“Business people realize, “Sniechowski said, “that something has got to change. We cannot continue with the single-minded ambition of making as much money as possible without much, if any, concern for the aftereffects.”

“Collectively people have lost millions,” Sherven added, “actually billions, most of whom could least afford it and through no fault of their own.”

Sherven and Sniechowski are a best-selling husband and wife psychology team who have turned their attention to soft sell marketing—largely on the Internet. Going from their practice as psychotherapists to becoming successful marketers did not happen without a deep and sometimes painful disruption of how they viewed business and sales. However one of the primary benefits of their naive entry into the world of marketing was that they brought fresh eyes to what they observed about marketing and business.

“What we’re really excited about, “Sherven said, “is that people are now hungry for a different point of view. And since we got into marketing as complete naives, we had no limiting or distorted preconceptions.”

“So,” Sniechowski added, “we could see how much of Internet marketing lacked heart; lacked any sense of human-to-human connection. And that’s what people so desperately need now.”

Officially launching their new book The Heart of Marketing: Love Your Customers and They Will Love You Back on May 14th at Amazon.com, one of the Launch Sponsors is Ric Thompson of Small Business CEO Magazine and Healthy Wealthy nWise. Agreeing with Sherven and Sniechowski (better known as Judith & Jim), all three are convinced that a more caring and conscious approach to marketing and selling will transform the world of commerce.

Sherven and Sniechowski call their method Soft Sell Marketing, marketing with consciousness and conscience. “It’s our intent to bring commerce and caring together for the betterment of life on the planet,” Sherven said.

“So that they impact each other,” Sniechowski added. ”Caring should not be run from in the world of business. And making money should not be seen as corrupting in the world of care-giving.”

Sherven and Sniechowski are delighted to share that their book is already a best seller. Now they expect that The Heart of Marketing will reach a #1 Amazon rank across all categories. “And then The New York Times Best Seller List,” Sherven said.

When I started online I was full of idea’s on how I should apply myself, what was important to me and how I could combine all of my personal experiences to better help others. It is true that I looked at a few of those ‘Get Rich Now Schemes’ but inadvertently my main goal was to combine everything together, so that my goals would reflect my intent.
As I read through the long ‘Sales Page letters’ I felt quite ill and put-off by the contextual hype being used and alike yourselves, I couldn’t find one example of human-to-human-contact.

So I just applied myself to how I could best reach out, talking to marketers and vendors as a human being and I am grateful above all, that I found a common denominator in between the lines.

We do need to use the ‘Personal Touch’ when we’re talking to anyone, communication is a skill and we can master it by simply being human.

    I wish you all well.

I have a book with a complementing CD that I am ready to launch. Any ideas on how I can go about getting this book published and out there? This is a children’s book featuring speech and language skills while introducing Universal truths. Each book to follow will focus on a new Universal truth with new speech and language skills. I would greatly appreciate feedback. Thank you, Esther Giordano Licensed Speech Language Pathologist

      Esther,

Depends on what route you want to take – self-publish vs traditional book publisher.

If you want to self publish the book and CD there are lots of ways to fulfill. You can try companies like Selby Marketing’s Direct2Market Solutions or online ones like Kunaki.com

Then it’s a matter of getting someone to organize the launch like Hasmark Services, Peggy McColl or Warren Whitlock. I don’t know what they need from you in order to make it a win for them to do it though.

For traditional book publishing, I’d suggest doing something like Mark Victor Hansen’s Mega Book Marketing event – you’ll have to find out when the next one is though.

      Hope that helps!
